Questions and answers

What hosts usually ask before they start.

Do my guests need an app?

No. The invitation arrives in the WhatsApp they already use, from your own number. They answer by tapping Yes or No and how many people are coming. Nothing to download, nothing to sign up for.

What if a guest types instead of tapping?

That’s fine. Typed answers in Greek, English and Greeklish are understood, for example “yes, two of us” or “tha erthoume 3”. If something is unclear, the guest is asked again. If it still isn’t clear, the guest is marked “needs attention”, so you can read the conversation and correct the answer by hand.

Can a guest change their answer?

Yes. They tap the other option again, or type it, and your list updates straight away.

Can I see what guests receive?

Yes. The preview shows a phone with your invitation (photo or video and text), the poll and every reply, exactly as a guest gets them on WhatsApp. Tap an answer to try the conversation. You can also send a test to yourself. Try it.

Can two of us send, for example both spouses?

Yes. You link each WhatsApp number with a QR code, like WhatsApp Web, and each guest gets the invitation from the number you choose, so everyone sees a number they know. Try includes one number, Event two.

Can my partner send invitations too?

Yes, as a co-organizer. On the event’s Co-organizers page you create a link and send it to your partner or a family member. They log in with their own account, link their own WhatsApp and invite from their own contacts. Nobody sees anyone else’s contacts.

There is one shared guest list, and it shows who added each guest. If someone is already on it, it says “Already on the list — added by Giorgos” instead of adding them twice. Each organizer’s invitations go out from their own number.

Is my contact list uploaded?

No. Your contacts are read live from your phone only while you pick guests, and they are never stored. We keep only the guests you choose for the event (name and number, plus the columns of a list you upload) and their answers.

Can I upload my guest list from Excel?

Yes, an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file. Names and mobile numbers are found automatically. Every other column (company, table, email…) is kept with each guest and shows on the guest list, the guest’s page and the Excel export.

You see the whole file before anything is added. A guest who is already on the list is updated, not added twice. Guests without a mobile number can still be listed and seated; they just don’t get a WhatsApp invitation.

Can I plan the seating?

Yes. Enter the width and length in metres and the room’s shape: rectangle, L-shape, round or oval, or any shape by dragging the corners. Add round, rectangular, square, oval or long banquet tables with as many seats as you need, plus a stage, bar, dance floor, stands or anything else in the room, or bring them all in from an Excel template. Arrange them by dragging, on a computer or a phone.

Seat guests by dragging them, or with “Seat at…”. The people a guest brings always sit with them. Auto-seat can keep groups together, for example by company or by any column from your list. See the room in 3D with the names, print a list per table, and find a Seating sheet in your Excel export. See the planner.

What happens after the event?

After the event date, guests no longer get automatic replies. Their data is deleted 90 days after the event; until then you can download the list as Excel.

Does it work in Greek and English?

Yes. Each event is in Greek or English. Guests are greeted by first name, in the right Greek form («Γεια σου Γιάννη!» for Giannis), and you can edit every question, button and automatic reply with a live preview.

How many guests can I invite?

Up to 30 on Try and up to 300 on Event. Messages go out one by one, 25–60 seconds apart, with a daily limit per number, so 100 invitations take roughly 45 minutes to an hour and a half. You can pause, resume or cancel at any time.

What does it cost?

Try is free (1 event, up to 30 guests). Event is €29–49 per event and Planner €29–59 per month; Business is on quote. These are introductory prices and may change. There are no payments on this site. See the plans.

Is this allowed by WhatsApp?

Honestly: not officially. During the pilot, invitations go out from your own personal number, linked as a device (like WhatsApp Web), slowly, and only to people you choose.

WhatsApp does not officially support automated sending from personal numbers, so there is a small risk that it restricts a number. The slow pace (25–60 seconds between messages) and the daily limit are there to keep that risk low.

Linking your own number is recommended for smaller events, up to about 300 guests. For bigger or corporate events we suggest a WhatsApp Business number.

So, are you coming?

The pilot is by invitation. Tell us about your event and we will get back to you.
